Fern and I just had an amazing week - I proposed to her up in a tree we used to climb in central park - she almost fell off her branch! We then recreated one of our very first nights by staying in the maritime hotel in Manhattan.

And then we packed off for lollapalooza - it was great, Wilco was my favourite show. Fern was having so much fun, it feels amazing to make the person you love that way so happy.

So - I'm practising for my show tomorrow - I'm learning "life on mars" by david bowie... Fern is in Mexico, I miss her already...

Ben so glad to hear from you - what a great way to propose - what a romantic place to propose to someone - in one of your favorite places!! Skype is great - I haven't used it in forever - need to install it on this computer - but yes. It's made of goodness!!

reliving childhood memories???? i know i'd still be climbing trees if they didnt build houses on the ones we use to climb.

ben you have made me want to go out and climb trees now. hmmmm maybe i should call my mate and head off down coltness woods?! lol.

Climbing trees is wicked fun!!! I highly recommend it to those who may not have done it in a while. We have some great old climbers here!

pfftt the tres in my garden are unclimbable, and the ones in the woods coloseby are puny
fragile things. ill find something one day
